Job description
Role Overview
The groundperson supports tree crew operations by feeding brush and debris into a wood chipper, watching for trip-and-fall risks, and helping keep coworkers clear of moving equipment paths. The role also includes basic upkeep of tools, vehicles, and work materials.
Key Duties
- Use a chainsaw to cut brush, logs, and stumps from larger trees.
- Move, collect, and load brush into the wood chipper.
- Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean, organized, and proper working condition.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- This is an entry-level opportunity; no prior experience is required.
- Previous related experience is considered an advantage.
