Job description
Overview
We seek a highly creative and meticulous professional to oversee the comprehensive packaging design process and produce print-ready files. This role entails managing artwork from concept to completion, including pouch packaging, shipping labels, and Nutrition Facts tables for inkjet printers like Domino. Accuracy, uniformity, and strong knowledge of food industry packaging requirements are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging artwork for a variety of food and household items, including pouches, labels, and cartons.
- Generate shipping mark labels conforming to buyer and export documentation standards.
- Prepare production-ready pouch printing files for vendor handoff.
- Create and format Nutrition Facts tables tailored for Domino and similar coding/inkjet printers.
- Manage and create print files such as labels, barcodes, and variable data utilizing BarTender software.
- Prepare and troubleshoot printer files for Domino printers covering batch codes, MRP, manufacturing, and expiry dates.
- Ensure all design elements meet export country labeling regulations, as directed by the team.
- Liaise with printing vendors for proofing, adjustments, and final approval of prints.
- Maintain organized archives of design files including version control, formats, and printing specifications.
- Implement effective color strategies that suit food packaging visuals — ensuring appeal, brand alignment, and market relevance.
- Support exhibition stall design efforts, including layout, branding, and visual merchandising for trade shows.
- Perform any additional tasks within the company's scope and requirements.
Additional Preferences
Candidates with skills in social media management, basic website development or maintenance, and experience in digital marketing within export firms will be preferred.
