Job description

About Goodstack

Goodstack is a high-growth, AI-led social impact company with a mission to make doing good part of everyday business. Since 2017, the company has been building a platform that helps organisations embed positive impact into their operations while also helping nonprofits access technology and new funding opportunities.

Supported by General Catalyst, Goodstack works with major global brands such as Google, OpenAI, TikTok, LinkedIn, HSBC, Atlassian and Twilio, alongside thousands of nonprofits including the Red Cross, Cancer Research and Oxfam. In 2025, the platform helped channel $5 billion toward good causes, and the company is continuing to scale its global donation infrastructure.

Role overview

Goodstack is hiring a Grant Delivery Specialist to serve as its lead expert reviewer for nonprofit grant work. This role is suited to someone who is highly analytical, meticulous and experienced in grant writing, with the ability to turn complex programme details into clear, persuasive funding narratives.

You will help nonprofit partners secure more funding by researching relevant opportunities, drafting strong applications, refining supporting materials and ensuring every submission is accurate, compelling and tailored to funder expectations. The role also requires using AI tools thoughtfully to improve speed and quality without losing human judgement.

What the role involves

  • Guide nonprofit partners through onboarding, regular follow-ups and day-to-day communication by phone, email and other key contact points.
  • Find, assess and organise grant opportunities that fit each partner’s mission, eligibility, programmes and funding needs.
  • Create persuasive LOIs, grant applications and supporting narratives that align with each funder’s requirements.
  • Use AI confidently for research, drafting, editing and review while keeping accuracy, tone and judgement under human control.
  • Act as the primary reviewer for draft materials to ensure they are clear, strong, funder-ready and easy for nonprofits to act on.
  • Handle several partner relationships at once, balancing speed, quality and relationship management across the delivery process.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of roughly 10 to 15 nonprofit partners at a time, including their goals, programmes and wider impact.
  • Contribute to improving internal grant-support workflows so the team can support more organisations without lowering standards.

What success looks like after 3 months

  • Grant drafts are being delivered consistently and to a high standard.
  • Nonprofit partners feel informed, supported and confident in the outputs they receive.
  • Funding opportunities are clearly matched to each partner and explained in a practical way.
  • AI is being used wisely to improve speed, consistency and overall quality.
  • Drafts are precise, thoughtful and tailored to each funder.
  • Potential risks, blockers and deadline issues are escalated early.
  • The grant delivery process becomes easier to understand, stronger and more scalable.

What you need

  • A STEM degree from a recognised university, or other evidence that demonstrates strong analytical thinking.
  • At least 5 years of experience in grant writing, ideally within nonprofits, charities or mission-driven organisations.
  • Solid knowledge of funding ecosystems, eligibility rules, funder priorities and what makes proposals competitive.
  • Ability to take broad or rough information and shape it into specific, persuasive and submission-ready narratives.
  • Comfort using AI tools to assist with research, drafting, editing and quality checks, while recognising when human judgement must take priority.
  • Ownership mindset, with the confidence to flag issues early and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially around deadlines, geography-based nuances, funding restrictions and structural requirements.
  • A partner-first communication style that combines warmth, clarity and sound judgement.
  • Strong process discipline and an appreciation for organised workflows and tidy systems.

Nice to have

  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising, philanthropy or corporate social impact.
  • A fondness for tea.
