Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking two enthusiastic and talented Graduate Ecologists to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This position offers a fantastic chance to develop practical experience within ecological consultancy through various field and client-focused activities. The role works on a hybrid model, generally involving at least three days per week spent at our office or onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ecological surveys including habitat and surveys for legally protected species.
  • Prepare reports and communicate with clients, contractors, and the public to support BREEM assessments related to land use and ecology.
  • Create survey plans such as habitat maps and perform Ecological Clerk of Works duties.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a degree in Ecology or a closely related discipline.
  • Candidates may be fresh graduates or have some relevant prior experience.
  • Positions are based in Cambridge, London, or Ipswich offices with travel to sites and other company locations; a full driving license is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours when required, including night work for bat surveys and early/late site visits for reptile surveys or mitigation.
