Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Global Vendor Director is a pivotal leadership position responsible for steering growth, profitability, partner engagement, and market expansion within a global technology portfolio. Working within a matrix organizational structure, this role emphasizes strategic business planning, relationship management with executives, performance governance, and commercial execution to achieve accelerated business outcomes and solidify key partnerships.
- Develop and implement the worldwide business strategy to meet targets related to revenue growth, gross profits, and market development.
- Lead the yearly business planning, forecasting, and performance assessment in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Foster and maintain high-level relationships with strategic partners, regional heads, and senior decision-makers.
- Manage and mentor a team of commercial experts by providing guidance, coaching, and overseeing their performance.
- Drive initiatives related to partner acquisition, enablement, development, and business expansion across diverse markets.
- Set up governance structures, conduct business reviews, and prepare executive reports to ensure strategic alignment, accountability, and successful objective execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related disciplines; an MBA is advantageous.
- Robust commercial and financial insight with proven experience in handling revenue and profit targets.
- Significant experience in vendor management, strategic alliances, channel leadership, or business development within the technology industry.
- Documented success in building strategic partnerships and deploying effective go-to-market strategies.
- Experience in leading high-performing international teams within matrix organizations.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influence at executive levels.
- Strategic mindset focused on outcomes with strong execution skills.
- Data-oriented, collaborative, accountable, and capable of driving change and fostering growth across multiple regions.
