Job description

Overview

This opportunity is shared for a partner organization that handles the application review and all subsequent hiring steps. The employer is seeking a Global Treasury Analyst located in Germany.

The role is central to an international finance organization and focuses on improving cash efficiency, liquidity planning, and foreign exchange exposure management across several entities. You will contribute to cash deployment decisions, risk reduction, and financial planning in a distributed, multi-currency business. The position works closely with senior finance leaders, accounting teams, legal partners, auditors, and banking relationships. It is a high-impact role where treasury choices directly affect financial stability, capital efficiency, and operational performance.

The work environment is global, fast-paced, and highly collaborative, with strong emphasis on data-driven decisions and strategic influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and assess global cash balances and liquidity across multiple currencies and legal entities to support effective allocation and transparency.
  • Build liquidity forecasts for operating and capital spending needs, including scenario analysis and support for free cash flow improvement.
  • Review foreign exchange exposure and propose hedging or currency allocation actions to limit volatility and financial risk.
  • Manage banking partnerships, credit exposure, transaction execution, and compliance with treasury policies and internal controls.
  • Contribute to treasury system enhancements and process optimization, including rollout or improvement of treasury management tools.
  • Work with accounting, FP&A, legal, and auditors on intercompany activity, reporting, and compliance matters.
  • Prepare treasury updates and strategic recommendations for senior leadership, including the CFO and finance leadership.
  • Maintain compliance with governance and control requirements such as SOX, FATCA, and related regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • Background in global treasury, corporate finance, or financial risk management gained in an international business setting.
  • Academic qualification in finance, economics, business, or another quantitative field.
  • Professional credentials such as CTP, CFA, or a similar treasury/finance certification are preferred.
  • Strong grasp of cash management, FX risk, liquidity forecasting, and investment optimization.
  • Experience operating in multi-currency environments and working with international banking structures.
  • Excellent analytical ability and financial modeling skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and create scenario-based forecasts.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, accountable, intellectually curious, and comfortable working independently with initiative.

Benefits

  • Competitive global pay with eligibility for performance-related bonus.
  • 100% remote, distributed work setup with opportunities to collaborate globally.
  • Annual learning and development allowance to support professional growth.
  • Paid annual leave, parental leave, and access to employee assistance support.
  • Chances to travel internationally for team gatherings and strategic offsites.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and high-value strategic finance work.
  • Flexible working environment designed to encourage autonomy and balance.
