The client is a leading international supplier specializing in mineral and chemical raw materials, additives, and various specialty products in the B2B sector. Their headquarters are centrally located in Hamburg's city center, where the global product management team is based.
Role Overview
The current manager is progressing internally, creating an opportunity for a successor with relevant experience in product management, preferably in raw materials and additives with a focus on industrial minerals or magnesium compounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiating and finalizing framework and spot contracts with raw material suppliers for the managed product portfolio.
- Acting as the liaison and coordinator between sales and supply chain departments for inventory control.
- Optimizing the product portfolio continuously.
- Developing supplier relationships, including occasional visits and audits.
- Monitoring sales targets and financial results.
- Conducting market, product, and competitor analyses.
Candidate Profile
- Qualifications in business administration or a related study field such as chemistry, geology, or mineralogy.
- Several years of international experience in product management, including operations in procurement and/or sales, ideally with minerals, raw materials, chemicals, or additives.
- Strong technical understanding of chemical processes.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and oral.
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion, including destinations like Asia and Latin America.
