Role overview

The Global Planning Manager will be responsible for steering worldwide supply planning so that every market is kept stocked without interruption, while inventory stays at the right level. This position calls for a strong leader with advanced planning knowledge and the ability to handle complex coordination across multiple regions, suppliers, and internal teams.

Core responsibilities

The role covers end-to-end supply planning, integrated business planning, team leadership, stakeholder coordination, and planning analytics.

  • Run global supply planning cycles and support reliable product availability across all markets.
  • Set inventory goals, track supply risks, and put corrective actions in place when needed.
  • Improve planning workflows, tools, and data quality on an ongoing basis.
  • Take ownership of IBP cadence activities across global markets.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners so supply, demand, and financial plans remain aligned.
  • Contribute to SOE and S&OP discussions by sharing risks, scenarios, and recommended actions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supply planners, including performance management and capability building.
  • Make sure the team produces accurate reporting, strong analysis, and clear communication.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for market clusters, handling escalations and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to reduce disruption and improve supply resilience.
  • Run planning reviews, track performance patterns, and promote best-practice ways of working.
  • Prepare timely supply reports for senior leadership.
  • Suggest improvements to service levels, inventory outcomes, and cost performance.

Experience and skills

This opportunity suits someone with substantial supply planning expertise at a global or regional level, preferably in FMCG, healthcare, or similarly high-volume industries. The role also requires proven people leadership and a strong grasp of planning, forecasting, and manufacturing processes.

The position is based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland and is a full-time onsite role.

Required background

  • At least 5–7+ years of experience in supply planning at a global or regional level.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing planning teams.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply planning across several markets.
  • IBP and S&OP experience is a strong advantage, with SAP IBP considered ideal.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing operations, demand planning, and forecasting.
