Job description

Role overview

We are looking for a Global Events Finance Manager based in Germany to support a fast-moving international events business. This role is responsible for managing the full financial journey of large, multi-country events, from early vendor quotes and budget planning through to final settlement and reconciliation. You will act as a key financial partner to the Events team, bringing clarity, control, and accuracy to complex budgets that span multiple currencies and entities.

The position involves close coordination with event managers, procurement teams, and external suppliers to support cost discipline, payment accuracy, contract flow, and compliance. It is a hands-on operational role for someone who is highly detail-focused and comfortable working in a dynamic global environment where financial precision is essential to successful event delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the complete financial process for global events, including budgeting, vendor quotation review, payment handling, and final reconciliation.
  • Create, combine, and track detailed event budgets, giving the Events team timely visibility into financial status.
  • Manage contract administration, signature routing, invoice handling, and payment processing in a controlled and compliant manner.
  • Perform reconciliations across multiple currencies and business entities, maintaining consistency across international operations.
  • Prepare after-event financial summaries that review spending, deviations, and overall budget outcomes.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to assess quotations, support negotiations, and strengthen cost control.
  • Keep financial records and reporting tools accurate and organized so the business remains transparent and audit-ready.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance management, ideally within events, travel, hospitality, or another fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including tools such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, plus working knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, invoices, and reconciliations across several entities and/or currencies.
  • Strong accuracy, structure, and process discipline, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate vendor quotations and contribute to negotiation efforts.
  • Professional communication skills with fluency in English and Spanish; Italian is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally when needed.
  • Ability to work independently, stay dependable under pressure, and meet tight deadlines in a changing environment.

Perks and benefits

  • Competitive pay package that reflects experience and scope of responsibility.
  • Flexible work setup with remote-friendly arrangements.
  • Chance to contribute to prominent global events with international visibility.
  • Hands-on exposure to complex multi-currency finance operations and global stakeholders.
  • Fast-paced environment with strong ownership and autonomy.
  • Opportunities to grow within international finance and operations roles.
  • Collaborative team culture with a multicultural workplace.
