Verita AI is currently seeking seasoned GL Accountants to participate in AI training data projects. This remote freelance role involves applying professional accounting knowledge to assess AI outputs, identify reasoning gaps, and convert real workflows into structured tasks, aiding AI learning. The position supports flexible hours and a long-term engagement without fixed schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess AI-produced accounting data for correctness, reasoning soundness, and domain relevance
• Convert actual accounting procedures into structured training tasks for AI systems
• Spot gaps, exceptions, and errors recognizable only by experienced accountants
• Record assumptions, analytical thought processes, and professional judgments clearly in writing
• Deliver organized feedback to engineering teams to enhance AI accuracy and performance

Relevant Accounting Domains

• Month-end and year-end closing activities
• Journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations of accounts
• Financial statement preparation and compliance adherence
• Use of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
• Support of audit readiness and internal control frameworks

Candidate Requirements

• Between five and eight-plus years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial operations
• Strong proficiency with GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is advantageous
• Practical experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
• CPA certification preferred, but comparable experience and credentials will be evaluated
• Strong written communication skills to clearly explain reasoning and professional judgments

Work Conditions and Expectations

• All collaboration is asynchronous via Slack and internal tools with no fixed meeting schedules besides onboarding
• Candidates should commit consistently to 15–20 or more hours weekly, minimum 10 hours required
• Ideal for self-directed professionals able to independently manage schedules and produce quality written outputs

Compensation and Engagement Details

• Hourly rate ranges from $100 to $125 USD based on experience
• Payments are made biweekly through Deel platform
