Role Overview
The Girls Hostel Warden role is a full-time, on-campus position at AAFT University's Raipur campus. The Warden is responsible for overseeing all operations related to the girls' hostel. This includes supervising residents, ensuring their safety and security, maintaining disciplined conduct in accordance with university regulations, and facilitating a supportive living environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily hostel operations, including admission processes and room assignments.
- Supervise residents and monitor attendance and movement logs.
- Collaborate effectively with administration and security personnel to ensure smooth hostel activities.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and handle incidents as they arise.
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards within the hostel premises.
- Organize orientation and awareness sessions to familiarize residents with rules and welfare programs.
- Prepare periodic reports documenting hostel operations and resident-related issues.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and gender-sensitive atmosphere within the hostel community.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in hostel management or residential facility supervision, preferably within an educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage hostel administration, supervision, and record-keeping effectively.
- Strong commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and discipline of residents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with students, parents, and university staff.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution, counseling, and problem-solving to address residents' concerns.
- Availability for extended hours, including readiness to respond to emergencies.
- Basic computer skills for managing digital records and administrative correspondence.
- Educational background such as a bachelor's degree in social work, education, psychology, management, or related fields is desirable.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, grievance redressal mechanisms, and institutional policies.
