General Utility Worker - Physician Lounge

Job Summary

This position is responsible for keeping the facility clean, orderly, and running smoothly. The role supports several departments and includes tasks such as dishwashing, floor maintenance, trash handling, and general sanitation. The worker is expected to follow set procedures and safety rules while delivering dependable service to staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned work areas, equipment, and other facility spaces in line with department guidelines and safety practices.
• Remove trash, recycling, and biohazard waste while following the required disposal procedures.
• Use dishwashing machines and, when necessary, wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools by hand.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and care for floors in designated areas.
• Restock supplies and materials at assigned workstations as needed.
• Support basic setup or maintenance tasks, including moving furniture or equipment.
• Use all equipment safely and ensure it is handled and maintained correctly.
• Notify the right personnel about maintenance concerns, safety risks, or low supplies.
• Carry out additional duties when assigned.
• Maintain dependable, regular attendance.
• Follow all company policies and operational standards.

Qualifications

Experience in custodial work, utility support, food service, or general labor is preferred, with 0 to 1 year of relevant background.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Working understanding of cleaning methods, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and carry out spoken and written instructions.
• Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on cleanliness.
• Comfort working independently as well as collaboratively.
• Physical capability to lift, bend, stand, and repeat motions throughout the shift.
