Overview
The role of General Porter supports the seamless daily operation of catering and hospitality services. This position involves maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and providing quality customer service across various outlets and facilities.
Key Duties
- Prepare rooms and events for use through efficient setup
- Manage deliveries and distribute stock effectively
- Assist with stock storage and ensure proper rotation practices
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene protocols
- Clean kitchen, service, and workspaces regularly
- Help maintain a safe and standards-compliant environment
- Work flexibly across different functional areas according to operational requirements
- Collaborate with team members and management to foster a positive work culture
- Contribute towards providing an outstanding experience for customers, staff, and visitors

Additional Information
This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 36.5 hours per week. The position is eligible for a Campus Services New Starter bonus of £1,000, payable after successful completion of a six-month probation period (pro rata for part-time). It also qualifies for a Refer-a-Friend bonus under specified conditions. Both bonuses are subject to terms and conditions.
