About the Role and Company
Join Etex, a global frontrunner in sustainable construction known for its dedication to excellence and prioritizing employee wellbeing, located in Cahir, County Tipperary, Ireland. We are seeking five General Operatives to become key members of our expanding factory team in Cahir. This role is physically active and involves assembling structural panels and insulation systems on the factory floor within a tight-knit team setting. No previous experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided. The position requires full onsite presence.
Working Hours
The working schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for additional overtime shifts on Saturdays and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble structural panels and insulation systems accurately according to technical drawings and procedures.
- Operate across various sections including assembly, cassette, insulation, and roll former as needed.
- Utilize hand and power tools confidently and safely, such as rivet guns and drills, adhering strictly to health and safety protocols.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintain accurate timing and quality documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and smooth workflows.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, correctly use personal protective equipment, and promptly report any hazards, incidents, or machine malfunctions.
Candidate Requirements
- Must possess Leaving Certificate or comparable secondary education.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, good communication, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Be physically fit and capable of safely performing manual handling tasks.
- Have proficiency in reading and understanding English.
- Holding a Manual Handling certificate is mandatory.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or workshop settings is beneficial but not required.
