Job Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production tasks to ensure quality, safety, and volume targets are met efficiently.
- Operate and adjust machinery as required.
- Inspect products and determine their disposition.
- Handle materials appropriately during production.
- Complete and comply with all process documentation accurately.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
- Maintain safe work practices and report any safety concerns.
- Manage activities within budget guidelines, such as waste reduction and adherence to production plans.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
- Comply with all operating procedures relevant to the role.
- Contribute ideas to improve cost savings.
- Conduct line clearances when necessary.
- Use computer applications as required for process and reporting.
- Participate in improvement projects including product transfers, validation of equipment/facilities/processes, and quality initiatives.
- Adhere to environmental procedures like recycling and waste minimization, promoting enhancements where possible.
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
- Comply with all EHS standards, procedures, and regulations.
- Actively participate and support Abbott’s EHS programs.
- Report any workplace injuries or illnesses and assist with investigations.
- Attend assigned EHS trainings and drive safety performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Leaving Certificate level education is desirable but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Energetic and enthusiastic team player able to integrate quickly and effectively.
- Demonstrates flexibility and innovation in approach to work tasks.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Accountability and Reporting
This role reports directly to the Front Line Leader and requires collaboration with multiple departments and team members across the plant.
Additional Terms
An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment medical exam, including drug and alcohol screening by a company-appointed medical practitioner.
