The store is closed on Sundays, giving every Sunday off.

Role Summary

In this leadership role, you will guide the store’s daily performance, set the tone for the team, and build a service-first culture where customer experience, results, and team wins all matter. The position calls for someone who leads with energy, curiosity, urgency, and a clear focus on growth.

Key Duties

You will be responsible for overall store operations, team development, customer service quality, and compliance with brand and safety standards. The role also involves working closely with the Doctor to support high-quality patient care.

Operational Leadership

  • Handle day-to-day store activities, including staffing, stock control, bookkeeping, planning, and adherence to company policies.
  • Review store performance and coach associates to deliver excellent customer and patient experiences.
  • Carry out store audits and ensure standards for quality, merchandising, and service are consistently met.
  • Keep regular communication with the District Manager and share accurate reports.
  • Make sure the store and facility comply with all corporate and safety requirements.

Team Management and Growth

  • Train, support, and develop associates through ongoing coaching, feedback, and learning opportunities.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and retain strong talent.
  • Create schedules based on business demand and customer traffic.
  • Lead by example to drive strong sales and service performance.
  • Provide timely feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address performance concerns early.
  • Maintain accurate associate records and personnel files while ensuring policy compliance.

Marketing and Financial Accountability

  • Implement marketing, merchandising, and promotional plans in line with brand requirements.
  • Manage budgets, supplies, and inventory with an eye toward financial targets.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of retail experience is required; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the optical field is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.
  • You should have a strong record of leading teams, coaching associates, and building positive working relationships.
  • Good communication, organization, and problem-solving ability are essential.
  • A genuine commitment to outstanding customer service and sales performance is important.
  • You should understand store operations and business results well.
  • An optical license is required in states where applicable.
