General Manager (Logistics & Supply Chain)

Job Overview

We are hiring for a seasoned and forward-looking General Manager of Logistics & Supply Chain to join a large organisation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time leadership role covering the full breadth of the client’s logistics and supply chain function. The selected professional will shape strategy, improve operational performance, and guide a committed team toward key business targets. The position plays a central role in keeping the supply chain efficient, cost-conscious, and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Set the direction for the organisation’s logistics and supply chain function and roll out plans that support commercial objectives.
• Manage the complete logistics cycle, including storage, stock control, transportation, and delivery operations.
• Coach, support, and lead the team to build a high-performing culture focused on teamwork and ongoing improvement.
• Take ownership of budgets, monitor operating expenses, and spot opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Develop strong working relationships with suppliers, transport providers, and third-party logistics partners.
• Review performance data to uncover delays or inefficiencies and introduce practical improvements across the network.
• Make sure all work complies with local and international trade requirements, customs rules, and health and safety standards.
• Work closely with senior leaders and other departments to maintain smooth and integrated operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in a senior leadership position within logistics, supply chain, or a closely related area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a relevant discipline; a master’s degree or professional credential such as CILT or CIPS is a plus.
• Strong grasp of supply chain fundamentals, including demand planning, inventory management, and transportation coordination.
• Solid financial understanding with practical experience in budgeting, controlling costs, and preparing financial reports.
• Strong leadership capability with the ability to inspire and develop a large, diverse workforce.
• Excellent analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities for working with both internal teams and external partners.
• Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region is highly desirable.
