Role Overview
Centorrino Technologies is looking for a commercially astute and technically proficient General Manager - Cyber Security to spearhead the growth and maturation of its Cyber Security Business Unit. This pivotal leadership position carries full end-to-end responsibility for strategy, business development, and financial outcomes. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the Cyber Security vision, refining service offerings, and significantly scaling the practice in the coming years. The role builds upon an existing strong foundation, including an established Security Operations Center (SOC) and delivery capabilities, with a focus on optimizing current services and developing new, high-value offerings to meet market demands. This opportunity is ideal for a leader with a blend of strong commercial expertise and deep cyber credibility, driven by the ambition to build a high-growth, high-impact business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Cyber Security Business Unit strategy, ensuring alignment with overarching company growth objectives.
- Assume complete Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability, encompassing revenue generation, margin performance, pricing strategies, and cost management.
- Drive the expansion of the cyber practice over the next 2-3 years, adapting services to evolving market needs and threat landscapes.
- Cultivate and mature a distinct cyber portfolio covering SOC, advisory services, uplift programs, and incident response.
- Establish robust frameworks, standards, and repeatable delivery models to ensure scalable and consistent service delivery.
- Spearhead pipeline development, conversion rates, and profitable project execution in collaboration with the Growth teams.
- Support Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Account Managers by providing solution expertise, product knowledge, and strategic deal input.
- Lead complex opportunities, tender processes, and key client engagements from both technical and commercial standpoints.
- Serve as a trusted cyber advisor in client discussions, including engagements with executive and board-level stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary cyber team comprising technical, consulting, and operational professionals.
- Foster an environment of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Ensure oversight of delivery across all cyber services, maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and client satisfaction.
- Uphold alignment with critical frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Essential Eight.
- Provide executive-level oversight for major incidents, risk management, and governance across the cyber practice.
- Contribute to regional growth initiatives, including potential expansion into New Zealand.
Requirements
- Possess extensive experience in a senior cyber security leadership capacity, preferably within managed services or technology-focused organizations.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in building, scaling, and commercializing cyber security practices or services.
- Exhibit strong commercial acumen, with prior experience in owning or significantly influencing P&L performance.
- Show evidence of driving pipeline growth, successful deal conversion, and achieving profitable business outcomes.
- Have experience engaging with enterprise and government clients, navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Be capable of shaping and supporting sales strategies, including active participation in large or strategic deals.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of core cyber security services, including SOC, incident response, GRC, and advisory.
- Experience in developing productized, repeatable service offerings designed for scalability.
- Possess solid knowledge of industry frameworks and standards like ISO 27001 and Essential Eight.
- Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with a strong executive presence and credibility.
- Exhibit a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.
- Possess a strategic mindset, with the capacity to balance business growth, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong capabilities in governance, risk management, and service delivery oversight.
- NV1 Clearance or higher is highly desirable.
