Job Summary

We are seeking a General Labourer to assist in production and repack operations, focusing on moving products through the drying and curing process areas.

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $18 during an initial three-month probation period.
• After successful completion of probation, the rate increases to $18.72 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders or receive verbal directions to plan assignments and identify material and equipment needs.
• Keep accurate records of units handled and transported using daily logs or work tickets.
• Prepare materials and products for shipment or storage, adhering strictly to company standards and customer requirements.
• Correctly label items following shipping and inventory instructions.
• Secure packages and pallets using strapping, wrapping, or other methods to guarantee safe transportation and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work areas, and the facility to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
• Organize and keep workstations tidy while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with applicable environmental and safety regulations, understanding their impact and control within the workplace.
• Participate in and follow all environmental and safety programs and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong work ethic and enthusiasm for the role.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Can effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and structured in approach to work.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires standing, bending, and stretching for prolonged periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull loads up to 100 pounds is essential.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Schedule flexibility is crucial as hours may vary based on production needs.
