About the Role

This full-time gardening and grounds position is based in Doha, Qatar, at a hotel property. The role focuses on keeping the outdoor areas attractive, orderly, safe, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the daily care and presentation of the hotel grounds. Duties include planting and replacing flowers, bulbs, lawns, trees, and shrubs; maintaining flower beds, hanging baskets, and planter boxes through watering, weeding, pruning, and general upkeep; trimming lawns and edging areas that the mower cannot reach; raking leaves; and carrying out routine turf maintenance.

The job also involves maintaining fountains, pots, and other landscape features through cleaning, replacement, or repair as needed. You will install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems, remove and bag waste from all outdoor bins, and transport equipment, supplies, materials, and refuse using dump trucks, tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles. After use, all tools and equipment must be cleaned, refueled, and returned in working condition.

Additional duties may include snow and ice removal where applicable and any other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Safety and Workplace Expectations

All company safety policies and procedures must be followed at all times. You will be expected to report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately, and complete required safety training and certifications. Professional grooming and uniform standards must be maintained, and company property and confidential information must be protected.

The role also requires strong teamwork, respectful behavior toward colleagues, and support in achieving shared goals and quality standards. Physical requirements include regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing items under 50 lbs (22.50 kg) without assistance; standing, sitting, or walking for long periods; inspecting tools, equipment, or machines for defects; and using fine motor skills to handle objects of different sizes and weights. You must also be able to reach above the head and below the knees, bend, twist, squat, crawl, climb stairs, move on uneven or slippery surfaces, and use ladders.

Requirements

A high school diploma or a GED-equivalent qualification is preferred. At least 1 year of related work experience is required. Prior supervisory experience is not needed. A valid driving license is mandatory.
