Role overview
This position is part of the Human Resources team in Doha, Qatar, supporting day-to-day office administration and employee service tasks within a hotel environment. The role sits at the non-management level and follows a full-time schedule at the Salwa Road location.
Key duties
- Maintain filing systems and keep HR records organized and up to date.
- Prepare office correspondence on a computer, then distribute and send it as required.
- Track HR office supplies and forms, including ordering and monitoring stock.
- Answer telephone calls and log messages accurately.
- Create personnel files for newly hired associates.
- Support walk-in candidates with the application process.
- Keep the application area clean, orderly, and accessible, including for people with disabilities.
- Respond to employee and management questions, requests, and concerns related to company and HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Escalate employee relations issues within the division or hotel to HR management.
- Protect the confidentiality and security of employee records, hotel records, and proprietary information.
- Ensure employee records are properly maintained, including interview documents and I-9 forms.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, and safeguard company assets.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor.
- Welcome guests in line with company service standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, and prepare written materials that are accurate and complete.
- Use proper phone etiquette when handling calls.
- Build positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Listen to coworkers and respond appropriately to their concerns.
- Meet quality expectations and standards.
- Use computers and/or point-of-sale systems to enter and locate job-related information.
- Perform other reasonable job duties requested by supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification is needed for this role.
