Role Overview

In this Sales Associate role in Barrie, Ontario, you will draw on your product knowledge and retail experience to guide pet owners toward the right nutrition and other solutions for their animals. You will work alongside a team of pet enthusiasts and contribute to a customer-focused store environment.

What You’ll Do

• Handle cashier duties and complete customer sales transactions.
• Prepare merchandise orders, complete banking tasks, and manage other routine paperwork.
• Restock the sales floor with smaller items, including pet products and household goods, weighing under 10 lbs.
• Carry out general store upkeep such as sweeping and dusting.
• Help unload delivery trucks and move pet food and supply cases and bags into stock, including items up to 50 lbs.
• Take on additional tasks as needed to support store operations.

What You’ll Need

• Experience working in retail or customer service.
• Practical familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• A warm, outgoing approach and strong customer-facing skills.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work the scheduled shifts, which may include evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation to and from the store.
