Full-time Retail Assistant / Store Person

Job Overview

The Students' Union Shop (XL) located at the University of Galway campus is seeking full-time staff to start in September 2026. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service and supporting daily store operations.

Primary Duties

• Deliver attentive customer service and uphold high service standards.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, including HACCP food safety procedures.
• Operate cash registers and balance cash at shift end.
• Manage stock orders, receive deliveries, and replenish products on shelves.
• Create attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelf edge labeling accuracy.
• Rotate inventory to minimize waste following best practice guidelines.
• Perform goods inward duties such as receiving supplies, verifying delivery dockets, and organizing the storeroom prior to floor placement.
