About the Role
Join a locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart store in Victoria, British Columbia, to provide outstanding health, beauty, and convenience services to the community. This role places the customer experience at the forefront of daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee customer service operations including cash handling, cashier supervision, and merchandising activities.
- Ensure staff adherence to store policies and standard operating procedures.
- Train and continuously guide cashiers and merchandising personnel in their roles.
- Implement loss prevention protocols, manage cash office inventories and cashier logs, and maintain PC Optimum procedures.
- Maintain professional store image through compliance with the Uniform Policy.
- Address customer queries regarding product locations, rainchecks, and resolve issues such as refunds and exchanges per store guidelines.
- Promote the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Survey to customers.
- Keep shelves clean, organized, properly rotated, and set up or remove product displays following management direction.
- Ensure store cleanliness, uphold health and safety standards, and comply with all policies including loss prevention.
- Perform clerical, banking, and cashier tasks as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Independent organizational skills to manage store operations effectively.
- Essential problem-solving skills to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Proficient computer literacy.
- Well-organized with efficient time management.
- Familiarity with store products and supplies.

Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from $18.60 to $21.00, depending on the candidate’s relevant experience, knowledge, and location of the store. This position is for a current vacancy. Artificial intelligence tools are utilized during candidate screening, assessment, and selection.
