Role Overview
This position is centered on delivering a polished guest arrival and departure experience while providing dependable support at the front desk of a hospitality setting in New York City.
Key Duties
- Make each guest stay feel smooth and welcoming by handling check-in and check-out with care and efficiency.
- Manage room reservations, modifications, cancellations, and guest information requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Build strong knowledge of room categories, pricing, and the distinctive features of the property and surrounding area so you can speak about them confidently.
- Offer clear guidance and support to guests and visitors whenever they need assistance.
- Maintain strong communication with housekeeping, operations, and other hotel teams to support seamless service delivery.
- Stay proactive by identifying guest needs in advance and addressing them before issues arise.
Qualifications
- Applicants should have at least 1 year of hospitality experience; experience in a premium boutique hotel environment is a plus.
- Alternatively, 2 years of experience in a customer service-focused industry is acceptable.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written, is required.
- Availability must include weekends and holidays, with flexibility in scheduling.
- Candidates should be able to manage multiple tasks while staying composed in a busy environment.
- Solid customer service ability, strong communication skills, and comfort using computers are essential.
Compensation
The role is paid at $26 per hour.
