Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled website copywriter who also understands content strategy. The right person will be able to create persuasive, conversion-oriented copy that fits a client’s brand voice and business goals. This role also includes preparing simple wireframes and content outlines so the work can be passed cleanly to the design team.
About the Company
N4 Studio is a global digital agency of about 60 people focused on Webflow design, development, and growth. The company is recognized as Webflow’s leading Enterprise Partner worldwide and works with clients that care deeply about a strong web presence and high-quality content.
How This Role Works
This is not a permanent in-house job and it is not a one-off assignment. Instead, the company is building a network of reliable copywriters and strategists who can be brought in as projects become available.
When a suitable project comes up, you will receive the brief, schedule, and a fixed project fee. You can then decide whether you are available to take it on. If not, the opportunity simply moves to the next time a matching project appears.
This setup suits writers who already work with several clients and value flexibility, while still preferring a dependable place to return to. Work tends to arrive in bursts, so there may be quieter periods, but delivery is usually fast when projects are active.
Typical Project Scope
The work involves website projects for both B2B and B2C clients across many industries. Content work usually happens in two stages.
The first stage is messaging and narrative strategy. In this phase, you collaborate closely with the project designer to shape the site’s direction, then present strategic recommendations and early copy ideas to the client.
The second stage is website copywriting. Here, you turn the strategic foundation into refined, SEO- and AEO-friendly copy that matches the brand and goes through revisions before final handoff to design.
You may be brought in for either one stage or both, depending on the project and your strengths.
Additional Information
The role is fully remote, and the team works with writers based in New Zealand, the UK, Europe, North America, and other regions as well. Strong work matters more than location.
Application Requirements
Applicants are asked to share their hourly rate for copywriting work, and also their rate for narrative and messaging strategy if that applies. Rates should include the currency used.
You should also include a short paragraph describing the kinds of web copy projects you have handled and where you see yourself on the junior-to-senior spectrum.
A portfolio link or a few examples of website copy are required, since applications without samples cannot be considered.
