About the Role
We are offering an exciting contract opportunity for a freelance video editor to create engaging content focused on travel, culture, and food for a growing Spanish-language YouTube channel. The editor will handle 10- to 20-minute vlogs, delivering 4 to 8 videos monthly with potential to scale as the channel grows. Emphasis is on producing dynamic, modern edits that captivate a diverse audience and enhance viewer retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit YouTube vlogs lasting 10 to 20 minutes, emphasizing smooth pacing, strong narrative flow, and viewer engagement
- Integrate professional Spanish subtitles alongside sound effects, music, zooms, and transitions in a subtle, balanced manner
- Maintain the channel’s brand identity by delivering entertaining and dynamic video styles
- Adhere to deadlines while producing between four and eight completed videos monthly
- Collaborate closely with the team to align content goals and contribute creative suggestions
Candidate Requirements
- Fluent Spanish speaker with excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Previous experience editing YouTube vlogs, ideally within travel, culture, or food sectors
- Proficient in professional video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Skillful at adding Spanish subtitles, sound effects, and music to enhance the viewing experience
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling techniques, and strategies for retaining audience attention
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant YouTube vlog editing work
- Reliable internet access and consistent ability to meet deadlines
- Available for a sustained, long-term collaboration
