Freelance Video Editor – Junior Remote Role

Role overview

Join a fast-moving media and e-commerce team as a freelance video editor working remotely on a part-time contract basis. The role involves shaping long-form content for several brands, including podcasts, interviews, restaurant features, food content, and business-related shows. You’ll help define the visual style of new and existing series while producing polished videos designed for social platforms.

This position is suited to dependable editors who can work consistently over the long term and who are comfortable in a creative, deadline-driven environment.

Key deliverables

• Create and hand over 3 to 7 finished video edits each week in either vertical or horizontal format, covering podcasts, interviews, and food-focused material.
• Prepare content so it performs well on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
• Add animated subtitles and captions that improve viewer engagement.
• Work from clear edit instructions provided through an AI-supported briefing workflow.
• Complete projects within 48 to 72 hours.
• Partner with the team to keep the look and feel consistent across all productions.
• Take part in a paid test assignment during onboarding.

Requirements

• You should have at least 3 years of professional experience in video editing.
• Strong hands-on ability with Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is required.
• You must be able to produce engaging short-form social videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
• Experience with animated captions and subtitles is needed.
• Comfort using AI tools, or a willingness to quickly learn them, is important.
• You need solid planning and multitasking skills to handle several projects at once.
• Background in food content or business creator content will be viewed favorably.
• Motion graphics ability is a strong advantage.
• You should be available for 20 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours as workload increases.
• A dependable internet connection is necessary for remote work.
