Role overview
This is a part-time freelance contract for a video editor who can support a media and e-commerce team with long-form content across food, business, and podcast formats. The work is remote and centered on helping develop the look and feel of both new and ongoing shows.
You will edit footage such as podcasts, interviews, and restaurant features for several brands, producing polished videos that are suitable for social-first distribution. The assignment is positioned as steady, long-term work for dependable editors who can keep pace in a fast-moving creative setting.
Deliverables
- Produce and hand over 3 to 7 completed vertical or horizontal edits each week, covering podcasts, interviews, and food-focused material.
- Adapt the final videos for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
- Add animated subtitles and captions to improve audience engagement.
- Work from instructions supplied through an AI-assisted briefing workflow for each assignment.
- Deliver projects within a 48 to 72 hour turnaround window.
- Partner with the team to preserve a unified visual style across the content slate.
- Complete a paid test assignment during onboarding.
Requirements
- You should bring at least 3 years of professional experience in video editing.
- Hands-on ability with Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro is required.
- You need experience creating attention-grabbing social videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
- You should know how to work with animated captions and subtitles.
- Comfort using AI tools, or a willingness to learn them quickly, is important.
- Strong planning and multitasking skills are needed to manage several projects at once.
- Experience with food creator or business creator content is preferred.
- Motion graphics skills are a strong advantage.
- You must be available for about 20 hours per week, with the possibility of more hours as content volume increases.
- A dependable internet connection and the ability to work remotely are necessary.
