Freelance Content Creator

Role overview

Tambourine is looking for a freelance content creator to produce photo and video assets on location for a luxury hotel client in the New York City area. This is an independent contractor arrangement rather than a salaried employment role. The work is centered on capturing high-quality visual content that supports the hotel’s premium brand image and social media strategy.

The assignment will be governed by a written services agreement covering scope, deliverables, timelines, compensation, confidentiality, and rights of use.

What you will do

• Produce polished photo and video content across the property, including guest experiences, dining and beverage moments, rooms and accommodations, amenities, seasonal programming, and on-site events.
• Develop short-form social content tailored for Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok, and similar platforms.
• Spot content opportunities that fit current social trends, platform standards, and the client’s brand guidelines.
• Work from creative briefs, shot lists, and priorities shared by Tambourine’s social media team.
• Sort, organize, and submit files in the required formats by the agreed deadlines.
• Be available for scheduled capture sessions, which may occasionally take place in the evenings or on weekends.
• Take on any extra deliverables only if both sides agree and the scope is updated accordingly.

Compensation and engagement terms

Pay is set at $50 per hour.

Work hours will depend on business needs and available content opportunities. The engagement is expected to be on an as-needed basis for events, seasonal activations, and extra content capture.

This role is not a full-time employment position. The chosen contractor will sign a services agreement that defines the work scope, deliverables, payment terms, confidentiality obligations, ownership, usage rights, and other applicable conditions.

Location and availability

All content capture will take place on property in New York City. Availability is required for mutually agreed shoot dates and times. Sessions may also include occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or special events if both parties agree.
