Mindrift is hiring a seasoned Brand Designer for a freelance assignment on the Tendem project, focused on supporting specialized data-scraping workflows within a combined AI and human workflow. The role suits a creative professional who can bring strategic thinking, deep brand expertise, and a strong sense of visual direction to help establish a modern, cohesive identity system.

This is a remote, part-time opportunity for someone experienced in developing brand assets, shaping visual identities, and protecting consistency across all brand touchpoints. The work involves partnering with Tendem Agents that handle repetitive tasks while you guide the more complex and creative aspects of brand design.

What the role focuses on

As a Brand Designer, you will be responsible for creating brand assets, defining visual identity elements, and ensuring uniform brand presentation. The role calls for a core specialist who can build a solid visual base, refine aesthetics, and ensure that all design outputs remain consistent across different media and formats using industry-standard tools.

Responsibilities

  • Create core brand foundations such as logos, complete identity systems, and well-structured color palettes.
  • Produce, arrange, and provide all needed versions of essential brand assets.
  • Protect brand consistency across internal and external materials, including pitch decks and social media collateral.
  • Develop durable visual systems that can scale and stay aligned with current design practices.
  • Check and uphold design quality across channels so that the brand translates effectively in both digital and print formats.

Requirements

  • Ideally, you have at least 2 years of experience in brand design, graphic design, art direction, or visual communications.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or a closely related creative field is advantageous.
  • You should be skilled in creating brand identities from the ground up, including scalable logos, unique color systems, and typography frameworks.
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, along with Figma, is required for asset creation and management.
  • You need proven capability to adapt brand identity consistently across different deliverables such as social media kits, pitch decks, and print collateral.
  • Organized brand system development skills are important, including the ability to prepare brand guidelines, style guides, and asset libraries for team use.
  • English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher is required.
  • You should have a strategic, highly detail-oriented mindset with a focus on building long-term brand value.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining visual consistency and acting as the custodian of the brand is essential.
  • The ability to work independently, solve problems on your own, and deliver polished assets is necessary.
  • A portfolio demonstrating branding work such as logos, identity systems, and guidelines must be included in the CV.

Working pattern and compensation

This project is estimated to require about 10 to 20 hours per week during active phases. This is only an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, and it applies only while the project is active.

Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $50 per hour, depending on their level and speed of contribution. Compensation can vary by project based on scope, complexity, and the expertise required.
