This role addresses a critical gap in healthcare support covered by insurance and accessible to every family nationwide.

Role Summary

As the founding recruiter, you will be integral to our talent acquisition success. Rather than serving as a support role, recruitment is the way we win at Hera. You will work closely with the founders to understand hiring needs deeply, adapt messaging swiftly, and execute the full hiring cycle—sourcing, screening, and closing for both technical and business roles. Your efforts will amplify the founders’ hiring impact by managing every aspect of candidate experience and process rigor.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the entire recruitment funnel end to end, owning candidate sourcing, screening, and closing.
• Build and maintain robust talent pipelines proactively, employing AI-powered sourcing tools to reach and engage top talent who do not apply via inbound channels.
• Collaborate on hiring strategy, advising on role prioritization, candidate quality benchmarks, and process improvements.
• Ensure a distinctive recruitment experience by evaluating the effectiveness of events and outreach initiatives, and proposing innovative approaches beyond conventional recruiting methods.
• Partner with hiring managers to enhance their recruitment capabilities and deliver a candidate-first approach across all interactions.

• You prioritize selling a compelling mission rather than just individual jobs, articulating Hera’s evolving narrative to inspire candidates.
• You possess a hunter mentality, able to source and engage candidates proactively, managing persistent outreach sequences.
• Experienced in full lifecycle recruitment across a range of roles including technical, clinical, and business functions.
• Meticulous about delivering a superior candidate experience that builds Hera’s employer brand, regardless of hiring outcome.
• Highly autonomous and metrics-driven, you implement continuous improvement and track recruitment success rigorously.
• Skilled in reading candidate signals and understanding underlying concerns or hesitations to tailor your approach accordingly.
• Currently based in New York City or willing to relocate to NYC.
