About Charlie
Charlie is an AI-driven career assistant that monitors over 60,000 active job listings from hundreds of company websites each week. It builds personalized profiles by analyzing users' own expressions and sends a single, highly relevant job recommendation only when it truly suits the individual’s needs. Currently operational with users in India and the US, Charlie is a young and evolving product.
Role Overview
As the inaugural growth hire, you will take ownership of connecting Charlie with the right audience—those seeking meaningful career opportunities.
- Identify existing platforms and spaces where job seekers congregate and engage them effectively.
- Conduct weekly conversations with users to gather authentic feedback and understand their needs.
- Create and distribute content that builds trust and credibility for the brand.
- Design, implement, and monitor small-scale growth experiments; evaluate outcomes fairly and discontinue ineffective tactics.
- Be responsible for key growth metrics such as user signups, activation rates, and retention.
You will collaborate closely with the founder, shaping strategies without a preset growth playbook or existing team.
Candidate Profile
- Up to two years of relevant experience; willingness to develop growth instincts is valued.
- Strong writing capabilities and enjoyment in crafting clear communication.
- A sincere interest in understanding people's career journeys.
- Comfortable with performance being tracked and measured.
- Ability to discern genuine product value from mere marketing hype.
