Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Zof AI is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work full-time from Accra, Ghana. The selected individual will be responsible for embedding AI agents within client environments, ensuring these advanced systems effectively operate in live enterprise settings. This position requires managing projects from identifying the customer’s actual business challenges to delivering and verifying fully functional solutions. Success will be measured by the deployment of robust, operational AI agents rather than prototype demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with enterprise clients to implement Zof AI within their operational environments.
• Manage the entire delivery workflow from understanding business intent to final deployment and validation of outcomes.
• Optimize and integrate AI agents into active customer systems and workflow processes.
• Embed AI solutions into major enterprise platforms such as CRM, ITSM, and internal tools.
• Troubleshoot and strengthen deployments operating in uncontrolled or legacy customer infrastructures.
• Convert customer environment constraints and challenges into actionable feedback to inform product and platform improvements.
• Create scalable and reusable deployment methodologies based on recurring customer engagements.
• Act as the technical advocate for Zof AI within customer organizations, maintaining close customer interactions.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices.
• Experience in deploying or integrating software systems within customer or client environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with enterprise stakeholders.
• Comfort working amidst ambiguity, legacy system limitations, and imperfect resource access.
• High ownership mentality focused on delivering concrete results, beyond writing code.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel onsite to customer locations as necessary.
• Adaptability and agility to thrive in a rapidly evolving startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or professional services roles.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, or SAP.
• Experience working on deployments of AI agents or large language model (LLM) systems for clients.
• Background in fast-paced early-stage startup environments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary ranging from GHS 8,000 to GHS 16,000.
