Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Foreign Exchange Strategist to develop and implement a comprehensive framework for managing foreign exchange risks across our global operations and investment portfolio. This role requires a strategic thinker who can continuously monitor FX risk exposure and devise effective hedging solutions aligned with the group's USD base currency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain a system to identify and measure FX risk embedded in the organization's international business operations and investment holdings.
- Monitor evolving and material FX risks, advising the CFO and CRO on appropriate hedging tactics for application within operating entities and the Family Office.
- Collaborate with operating units to build relationships with suitable banking partners and establish necessary credit lines to facilitate hedging activities.
- Generate monthly reports detailing the group's hedging status and mark-to-market valuation of gains and losses.
- Work alongside Treasury and FX teams at various locations to ensure coherent hedging of FX risks.
Hedging Focus Areas
- Capital investments held in foreign currencies.
- Consolidated profit and loss translation impacts from operations in local currencies.
- Equity and fixed income portfolio investments denominated in local currencies.
- Particular attention to highly volatile foreign currency exposures.
