Foodservice Worker

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes, production guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and service areas.
• Ensure serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers are properly stocked.
• Adhere to food storage, rotation, and sanitation procedures.
• Serve meals courteously to students, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing the inventory.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash as needed.
• Comply with all relevant health regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
• Support team members by covering shifts and assisting as needed.
• Complete reports and meet assigned deadlines.
• Perform additional duties to aid the kitchen team and school meal program.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or cleaning is favorable but not mandatory.
• Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and following set routines.
• Basic proficiency in mathematics and computer usage.
• Successful completion of background check and fingerprint screening.
• Reliable personal transportation is necessary.
• Enjoys working in an educational environment and engaging with children.
• Exhibits professionalism, respect, and inclusivity toward coworkers and customers.

Physical and Work Environment

• Ability to stand throughout the entire work shift.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Regularly bend, reach, walk, and use hands.
• Exposure to moderate kitchen noise and fast-paced movement.
• Standard full-time hours Monday through Friday with occasional extended workweeks.
• Participation in company meetings or events may be required.
