Role overview
Join a fast-growing ingredients business focused on creating tailored solutions for dietary supplements and functional foods, taking products from early concept work all the way through commercialization.
What you'll do
- Create and fine-tune formulations, then prepare prototype samples for testing and development.
- Run sensory and development trials, assess how ingredients perform, and help with pilot batches, scale-up activities, and first production launches.
- Work closely with Sales, Production, Regulatory, QA/QC, and Supply Chain teams on customer innovation work, technical discussions, quotes, costing, and launch support.
- Build and keep R&D records up to date, including product specifications, ingredient and packaging qualification documents, label and Supplement Facts review support, and food safety/regulatory paperwork.
- Keep the application lab neat and orderly, track ingredient and sample stock, and assist with equipment calibration and related documentation.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Technology, or a closely related discipline.
- Relevant product development experience is preferred, with 1+ years suitable for Scientist I or 3–5+ years for Scientist II.
- Hands-on knowledge of food ingredients, supplements, and functional ingredients.
- Experience with powders, drink mixes, capsules, tablets, or comparable product formats is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, solid organization, teamwork, and clear communication across both technical and commercial functions.
