PepsiCo is looking for a Food Safety Coordinator to become part of the Smith’s Snackfood team in Tingalpa. In this position, you will assist the Quality Enabler by keeping site food safety compliance and sanitation standards on track, while making sure cleaning and sanitising routines are clearly understood and consistently followed across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Keep food safety systems, standards, and audit-ready records up to date.
- Step in to support the Quality Manager when needed.
- Help site teams understand and implement all food safety programs and procedures.
- Run monthly AIB audits and support ongoing improvement efforts.
- Coordinate sanitation activities, including the Master Sanitation Schedule and related checks.
- Manage pest control (IPM), hygiene compliance, and training on chemical safety.
- Track food safety results, budgets, and contractor performance to ensure key goals are achieved.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, along with strong collaboration skills.
- A degree in Food Science or a comparable qualification.
- Good working knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and hygiene practices.
- Understanding of food processing and packaging machinery.
- Experience with safe chemical use and sanitation procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication, including report preparation.
- Proven project management ability and solid computer skills.
