This position is part of the food and beverage team at a luxury hotel brand in New Delhi. The role is focused on creating a polished, memorable dining experience rather than simply serving meals. The associate helps ensure guests feel cared for through attentive service, smooth coordination, and professional presentation.
Key duties
- Prepare tables and dining areas so service is ready before guests arrive.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and relay guest orders or service needs accurately.
- Serve food and beverages while maintaining a high standard of guest interaction.
- Keep service stations, work areas, and related supplies clean and organized.
- Support the guest experience by making service feel seamless and personalized.
- Carry out additional reasonable tasks assigned by the team or supervisor.
Work expectations
The role requires strong attention to safety, adherence to company policies, and consistent professional behavior. Associates are expected to maintain proper grooming, communication, and quality standards at all times.
The job is physically active and involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, including movement across uneven or slippery areas. It also requires handling menus and other information carefully, as well as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping. The weight handled may be up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Eligibility and qualifications
Applicants should have completed high school or an equivalent GED qualification. Prior relevant work experience of less than one year is preferred. No supervisory background is needed, and no license or certification is required.
