Role overview
Victoria Hotel Galway is seeking a part-time Food & Beverage Assistant who can begin as soon as possible. The role suits someone who is comfortable working in a lively hospitality setting and has experience in a busy restaurant environment.
The right person should be confident handling orders, delivering meals and drinks, and consistently offering a high standard of guest service. This is a chance to become part of a friendly, energetic, and vibrant hotel team.
Core duties
- Take customer orders and serve food and drinks efficiently.
- Keep service standards consistently strong throughout shifts.
- Work to the instructions and direction of the Food & Beverage Manager.
- Monitor stock and record any variances or discrepancies.
- Step in to cover bar shifts, including serving both beverages and food.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in a comparable hospitality role.
- Comfortable performing well under pressure.
- Strong enthusiasm for customer care and guest satisfaction.
- Good command of English.
- Ability to take initiative and act proactively.
- Working knowledge of bar service.
Personal qualities
- Positive, can-do approach.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.
- Able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Works well under pressure.
