Role overview

Victoria Hotel Galway is seeking a part-time Food & Beverage Assistant who can begin as soon as possible. The role suits someone who is comfortable working in a lively hospitality setting and has experience in a busy restaurant environment.

The right person should be confident handling orders, delivering meals and drinks, and consistently offering a high standard of guest service. This is a chance to become part of a friendly, energetic, and vibrant hotel team.

Core duties

  • Take customer orders and serve food and drinks efficiently.
  • Keep service standards consistently strong throughout shifts.
  • Work to the instructions and direction of the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Monitor stock and record any variances or discrepancies.
  • Step in to cover bar shifts, including serving both beverages and food.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a comparable hospitality role.
  • Comfortable performing well under pressure.
  • Strong enthusiasm for customer care and guest satisfaction.
  • Good command of English.
  • Ability to take initiative and act proactively.
  • Working knowledge of bar service.
