Role Overview

G4S Fire & Security Systems is recruiting an experienced Fire Systems Service Engineer to join their growing team based in Dublin, serving clients across the Leinster region. This role involves installation, commissioning, servicing, and preventative maintenance for a wide range of fire protection systems, from small to large scale. The company supports ongoing technical growth through comprehensive manufacturer-led training on life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing and maintenance of fire detection, fire suppression, emergency lighting, and portable fire extinguishers in full compliance with Irish standards.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours rota to address emergency system activations and urgent service desk issues.
  • Maintain assigned G4S assets, including vehicles, tools, specialist test equipment, and stock, ensuring they remain in excellent condition.
  • Use PDA technology effectively to update jobs in real time, facilitating prompt invoicing and compliance certification for clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team during site visits, offering expert technical advice to specify client requirements accurately.
  • Prepare clear field reports to assist management with strategic planning and daily operational decisions.
  • Exemplify operational excellence to support management and guarantee uninterrupted client service.
  • Address customer concerns courteously and efficiently, acting as a reliable representative of the G4S brand.
  • Participate in scheduled product trainings to keep up to date with G4S products and changes in fire safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive engineering experience with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems, and fire suppression technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with effective planning, time management, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines and exhibit operational flexibility.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a strong drive for achieving successful outcomes.
  • A full, clean driving license is mandatory.
  • An electrical engineering background is a notable plus for this position.

Compensation and Location

The position is based in Dublin, covering the Leinster region, with an annual salary ranging from 45000 to 50000 Euros.
