About the Role

Mercury is seeking a Fire Protection Supervisor in Limerick, Ireland. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee site safety together with the Mercury Safety Advisor, including setting up, managing, and closing out the safety file as part of the project management team.
  • Coordinate site quality assurance with the Mechanical Package Manager, including the creation, maintenance, and completion of the QA file.
  • Track the project schedule in coordination with other trades, package leads, consulting engineers, and client expectations.
  • Help manage package-related costs, including Mercury mechanical team costs, subcontractor costs, material deliveries and goods receipting, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Take responsibility for day-to-day site operations.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, including progress against programme and manpower levels, and ensure weekly meetings are held with subcontractors.
  • Maintain the Mercury snagging system and ensure weekly punch lists are returned where needed.
  • Issue direct labour hours and subcontractor hours to the time administrator for central tracking.
  • Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
  • Drive closeout of project deliverables such as O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, and QA files, with support from the Mechanical Package Manager.
  • Prepare and implement a weekly look-ahead plan to align with other trades.
  • Produce a weekly internal progress report covering completion percentage by WBS code and any risks under Mercury’s control, such as delayed deliveries.
  • Plan and monitor material deliveries so they align with the project schedule.
  • Carry out any other duties connected to the role or reasonably required by the company, noting that the company may adjust duties as business needs change.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of computer tools such as Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and managing large-scale projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervision position.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required by the role.
