The role involves working from a Sustaining Works van and will be primarily based in the Dublin/Leinster area, depending on where work is available. Key duties
- Install a range of sprinkler systems and support related fire protection works.
- Plan and complete small to medium jobs, including direct interaction with clients.
- Carry out site surveys and coordinate with the design team.
- Travel across the country as required.
- Work independently and take initiative to progress tasks.
- Maintain strong relationships and communication with clients.
- Drain and refill sprinkler systems competently.
- Operate fire pumps and associated fire alarm equipment.
- Work from sprinkler drawings and job plans.
- Apply knowledge of LPC and FM sprinkler standards.
Requirements
- Experience installing different types of sprinkler systems.
- Background as an experienced sprinkler pipefitter.
- Safe Pass and manual handling certification.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Strong communication skills.
- Comfort working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- National Craft Certificate.
- Full driving licence is preferred, though listed as optional.
- Previous experience in a similar role, or a willingness to gain it.
- Ability to manage a job through to completion and attend whiteboard meetings.
- Flexibility to work outside normal working hours.
- Construction background is desirable.
