Role overview
This opportunity is with an established residential developer in Cork, working on a large multi-phase housing scheme. The business is expanding and is looking for an experienced Finishing Foreman to take charge of the final construction stages and help ensure each home is completed to a very high standard.
In this role, you will work alongside the Site Manager and wider project team to supervise finishing trades, organise inspections, keep the programme moving, and support clean, snag-free handovers across a major residential development of 300 units.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all finishing trades on site.
- Maintain strong quality standards across internal and external finishes.
- Keep units progressing in line with the construction schedule.
- Organise and manage snagging work so completion happens on time.
- Work with subcontractors to make sure all work matches the required specification.
- Carry out inspections and check that workmanship remains to a high standard.
- Partner with site management to meet handover deadlines.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed throughout the finishing phase.
- Prepare completed units for client handover.
- Track progress closely and resolve issues before they affect delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Finishing Foreman on residential construction projects.
- Solid experience delivering housing, apartment, or mixed-use developments.
- Good understanding of finishing trades and quality control processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on workmanship standards.
- Ability to supervise subcontractors and manage several work fronts at once.
- Well-developed organisational and communication skills.
- Proven record of delivering work to programme deadlines.
- Trade background is preferred.
