Job description
Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for gathering financial data, cooperating with auditors, preparing consolidated financial statements, maintaining and enforcing adherence to the financial calendar, and ensuring timely recognition and compliance interpretation. The role supports the Financial Reporting Consolidation department to align with the strategic objectives and adheres to established business policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to review and audit STC's consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Oversee the preparation and control of group consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with Accounting and CMA standards and regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement reports and manage internal and external reviews of these documents.
- Produce STC's consolidated financial statement reports adhering to company policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
- Monitor and identify evolving accounting guidance promptly; provide interpretations and draft technical memorandums documenting arising issues clearly and logically.
- Create and maintain the STC calendar to alert relevant parties about critical deadlines for financial closing and reporting requirements.
- Communicate and clarify accounting issues and ongoing accounting guidance affecting financial reporting, collaborating with the Policy and Procedure department for management dissemination.
- Manage communication with external auditors concerning financial statements and accounting matters to ensure consensus on disclosures and other issues.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures effectively.
- Coordinate with STC counterparts to harmonize policies under the STC Reform initiative.
- Generate actual-to-actual consolidation reporting.
- Assist in coordinating annual audits and quarterly review activities conducted by internal and external auditors.
- Prepare and deliver the annual PIF group reporting package as required by PIF.
Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required.
- Supervisory experience in financial statement reporting within a large service-oriented industry is highly preferred.
- Experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the broader Middle East region, including knowledge of local regulatory frameworks, is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Professional certifications in the financial or accounting fields are valued.
