Job description

Role Overview

This position sits within the finance function of Riyad Bank in Riyadh and focuses on reporting, analysis, budgeting, projections, and regulatory support. The role contributes to accurate financial information, helps maintain compliance with banking requirements, and supports management with dependable insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in line with the department’s policies, procedures, standards, and operating instructions so that tasks are completed in a controlled and consistent way.
  • Handle the assigned daily activities for the function while following established requirements and internal standards.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of finance-related, SAMA, and Basel reports in coordination with other finance teams to support regulatory compliance.
  • Support the monitoring of capital ratios and prudential measures, including alignment with SAMA and Board guidelines, and help identify any exceptions quickly.
  • Prepare segment-level reporting on revenue, income, assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure in accordance with local and international standards.
  • Help improve reporting processes through system enhancements and provide segment-related information to other finance teams, executive management, and the Board when needed.
  • Support the preparation, review, and analysis of the annual operating budget, including revenue, inventory, and other cost budgets for the relevant segment.
  • Carry out detailed financial analysis, respond to ad hoc analysis requests from management, and work with different functions whenever analysis support is required.
  • Extract information from financial databases, financial statements, and accounting records, then compile periodic analysis for reliable reporting.
  • Support rating agency activities and investor relations processes for the bank.
  • Develop financial data analysis and performance indicators to assess past performance and help project future financial outcomes.
  • Build financial models for projects or products when needed to evaluate feasibility.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement, better practices, cost reduction, and productivity gains based on international best practice.
  • Help prepare accurate and timely reports for the bank and department in accordance with applicable policies and standards.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and environmental management requirements to help maintain a healthy and safe workplace.
  • Perform any other related duties or assignments as directed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, with a specialization in Finance or Accounting; a professional qualification is preferred.
  • Between 6 and 8 years of relevant banking-sector experience.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and control techniques and how to apply them.
  • Understanding of budgeting practices and standards.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting methods.
