About the Role
Eram Talent is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client based in Dhahran for a meticulous and analytically strong Financial Program Controller. This position plays a vital role in overseeing enterprise-scale strategic programs by managing financial control, enforcing program governance, tracking performance, and preparing executive reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate costs and benefits by supporting cost estimates, calculating expected program advantages, and ensuring financial results align with original business cases.
- Implement and uphold robust program governance methodologies to assist in planning, coordinating, and executing critical strategic transformation initiatives across the enterprise.
- Create, develop, and maintain detailed dashboards that monitor financial indicators, timelines, risks, and the realization of benefits.
- Translate complex program information into clear, succinct, and visually engaging materials to support decision-making by senior executives.
- Perform comprehensive variance analyses comparing costs to budgets and schedules to plans, recommending proactive corrective measures as necessary.
- Monitor risks and issues within program governance structures, guaranteeing the deployment of effective mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills through interpreting financial data, conducting quantitative models, and delivering strategic guidance.
- Effectively address and resolve budget overruns or cost discrepancies with sound problem-solving tactics.
- Maintain excellent communication, both written and verbal, and collaborate efficiently with Project Management and Finance departments.
- Apply advanced technical skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and financial modeling.
- Utilize dashboarding software such as Power BI or Tableau for enhanced data visualization.
- Leverage familiarity with project management tools including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
- Exhibit precision and attention to detail in analyzing data and preparing financial reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or Industrial Engineering with a finance focus.
- Minimum academic GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Practical experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts.
- Knowledge of Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operational Expenditure (OpEx) tracking.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for comprehensive financial monitoring.
- Preferred certifications include Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Cost Technician (CCT), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI), and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) – Advanced Excel.
