Where you'll work
Job description
Opportunity
As a Financial Planning Consultant, you will meet customers in person across Dublin and support them in making confident decisions about their financial future. You will work with one of Ireland’s established wealth management providers, giving clear and compliant advice on life assurance and pensions through face-to-face financial planning discussions that foster trust and lasting relationships. Because there is already an existing customer base, along with strong referral activity and modern advisory tools, you can concentrate on advice-led customer engagement while developing your career within Bank of Ireland.
This is a branch-based position, with work time spread across several Dublin branch locations.
What you will do
- Hold in-branch meetings with customers and provide straightforward, compliant guidance on life assurance and pension solutions aligned to their needs and personal circumstances.
- Create durable customer relationships through high-quality financial planning conversations.
- Develop new and repeat business across pensions, protection, savings, and investments using Bank of Ireland’s wealth offerings.
- Partner with branch teams and referral contacts to identify and progress advice opportunities.
- Use digital advice tools and platforms to support planning discussions and improve the overall customer experience.
What will help you stand out
The ideal candidate will already have experience as a Life and Pensions Advisor and a strong background in delivering face-to-face financial advice in a customer-facing setting. You should enjoy meeting people directly, building trust quickly, and helping them navigate important financial decisions with confidence and empathy.
You will need practical experience in life assurance and pension advice, along with the ability to lead financial planning conversations and explain complex matters in a clear, reassuring manner. The role also suits someone who is customer-oriented, works well with others, and is motivated to expand their advisory pipeline through strong engagement with customers and referral partners. A curious attitude toward market changes and a commitment to building technical and advisory capability are also important.
Essential qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience delivering face-to-face life assurance and pension advice.
- Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).
- Full, clean Irish driving licence.
