Job Description
The Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data and utilizing financial models for accurate forecasting. This role involves tracking revenue and gross margin by business unit, as well as expenses by cost center. The analyst will prepare detailed financial performance reports tailored for leadership review and evaluate financial performance by comparing actual results against established plans and forecasts.
Principle Accountabilities
- Support for Monthly Reporting: Analyze and provide commentary on revenue and expense trends. Collaborate closely with commercial and corporate teams to produce monthly reports, ensuring alignment with the annual budget. Assist in updating monthly sales and expense forecasts and initiate the generation of routine monthly reports for leadership review.
- Incentive Plan Calculations & Support: Conduct initial calculations for sales incentive plans. Develop a thorough understanding of sales programs to reconcile sales incentive targets with actual achievements.
- Systems and Application Management: Develop reports utilizing the OneStream Solution and leverage Tableau for data research and visualization. Ensure daily business rules are executed and verify data accuracy. Monthly, prepare the current forecast environment for departmental updates, including updating FX rates and global drivers based on leadership feedback.
- Financial Models & Dashboard Optimization: Develop, optimize, and manage financial models for Business Units (BUs) and create/optimize dashboards for BUs in Eurasia.
- Support for Budgeting: Analyze financial data, construct budgets, monitor expenditures, and devise strategies to support organizational financial goals. Collaborate with managers to establish appropriate budgets, review budget proposals, and oversee organizational spending to ensure proper fund allocation and adherence to plans.
Qualification Guidelines
Education: A strong financial background is required, with preference given to candidates holding CA/CMA/semi-qualified or MBA qualifications. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting, costing, financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting is necessary.
