Financial Controller - Chartered Accountant

About the Role

We are hiring for a multinational client based in Chennai seeking a Financial Controller with Chartered Accountant qualification. The candidate will operate primarily within Tally and Hyperion systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review accounting for stock, receivables, and payables.
• Handle inventory accounting, oversee inventory aging, and conduct physical stock verification.
• Review receivables aging, address de-locking issues, and reconcile dealer accounts.
• Analyze creditors aging, monitor advances and deposits, and perform vendor reconciliations.
• Approve payments jointly as a signatory on bank accounts.
• Implement controls related to dispatch, payments, and receipts processes.
• Update and review all necessary accounting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GST, other taxes, and statutory requirements.
• Manage insurance coverage adequacy and liaise with insurance providers.
• Prepare and present monthly MIS reports to headquarters and the board; prior experience in Hyperion preferred.
• Prepare and disseminate variance analysis reports to the operations team.
• Review expenses and circulate reports on exceptions.
• Ensure that transactions are accurately accounted for in accordance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with auditors to ensure timely audit completion.
• Maintain a working understanding of transfer pricing and associated audit reports.
• Have reasonable knowledge of FEMA regulations related to payments for goods and services.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Accounting.
